Being Optimistic!

Posted by Vinay (Bangalore, India) on 10 August 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

In a world filled with a lot of opportunities for success and equal number opportunities for failure, being positive is an important part of life.

I, sometime back had said that I'd like to take a picture of somebody leaving their foot prints! And since I had taken many such photographs and it had become common for me to take such type of photograph, I'd wanted to try something new but with the same concept in mind.

At the same time, I saw my friend leaving his foot print, but it was washed away partially by the sea water... and instantly I realized that it was the best opportunity to take the photograph of the half-foot print.

Didn't someone say - "The bucket is half full!"?

I too try to look at every opportunity to move towards my goal... may be half a step at a time or at times double the steps at a time. :):)

Thank you for visiting my photo blog... Please leave you comments... That is what is making me a better photographer each day...

Looking out for positive and negative comments as well.

or as Longfellow (and later Hawkwind) said:
"Lives of great men all remind us
we can make our lives sublime
And, departing, leave behind us
footprints on the sands of time ..."

nice shot!

Thank you very much djedfre 1 for checking out my photoblog and 2 for reminding me of the great words of wisdom from Longfellow.. It had been a long time, probably almost a decade, since I had read any of his poems.

Oh it was not a question..more like a caption. The partially washed away foot print kinda tells half the story no?

Lovely philosophy and concept. I might have angled it a little, moved it off center and cropped just a touch from the top to make it an even stronger image. Good one!
